Dinu Pillat (b. 19 November 1921 - d. 6 December 1975) was a Romanian novelist and literary critic. He was the son of the famous poet Ion Pillat. He was one of G. Călinescu's assistants. He was arrested by Communists in 1959, alongside Constantin Noica, Alexandru Paleologu, Nicolae Steinhardt and several other intellectuals. The manuscript of the novel Așteptând ceasul de apoi was confiscated by the Communist Securitate alongside other manuscripts and belongings of the writer; the novel was eventually published in 2010.
