Miron Kiropol (or Chiropol; b. 29 September 1936, Bucharest) is a Romanian-French poet, translator and visual artist. His first poems were published in 1963, in the magazine Contemporanul. He publishes three volumes of poetry: Jocul lui Adam (1967), Schimbarea la față (1968) and Rosarium (1969). In September 1968, while going to a poetry reading in Belgium, he decides to not return to Romania. He eventually settled in Paris, where he managed to gain acclaim with his poems written in French. During the 1990s he will resume publishing in Romanian, beginning with the awarded volume Această pierdere (1992).
